Dr. Katherine Rottersman
Veterinarian, Medical Director
Dr. Rottersman has been practicing in the Cobb County area since 1981. She received an undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia in Agriculture, a Master’s in Microbiology from Eastern Kentucky University, and her Doctor in Veterinary Medicine from Auburn University. She opened Windy Hill Veterinary Medicine in 1999. Dr. Rottersman, or “Dr. R” as she is commonly known, is as passionate today about veterinary medicine as she was when she started practicing.
She considers every patient and client to be a personal relationship to be cared for. Dr. Rottersman believes veterinary medicine to be her greatest gift because every day is a new adventure. When she’s not busy caring for patients, she loves to spend her time with family in her beautiful garden. She lives in Marietta with her sweet rescue dog, Daphne, her crazy corgi, Zinnie, and her rambunctious cat, Marbles.
Dr. Jennifer Ponce
Veterinarian
Dr. Ponce was born and raised in Marietta, Georgia. She received her bachelor’s degree in Biology Pre-Veterinary Medicine at Kennesaw State University in 2006. She graduated with honors from Tuskegee University of Veterinary Medicine in 2013. She is an active member of AVMA, GVMA, and the National Veterinary Honors Society Phi Zeta. Dr. Ponce has been a part of the Windy Hill family since 2019, and our clients and patients love coming to see her!
She is passionate about small animal soft tissue surgery and is interested in learning more about ultrasonography and internal medicine. Outside of the office, she enjoys spending her time outdoors with friends and family. She is head over heels in love with her three Cane Corsi (Italian Mastiffs), Ali’i Nui, Arabot, and Phoenix. She loves to train and compete with her dogs in many dog sports, such as agility, obedience, conformation, scent work, and dock diving! She is welcomed home at the end of the day by her three cats, Baci, Forza, and Squirt.
Stefanie Slaughter
Practice Manager
Stefanie has been a part of the Windy Hill team since 2007. She considers herself unbelievably lucky to have been a part of so many beloved pets’ lives. She is an advocate of animal behavior & training, and when she is not busy at Windy Hill Vet, she is helping teach puppy obedience at Alchemy Dog Training in Marietta. She finds dog training to be incredibly rewarding and has worked hard competing and teaching her own dogs in various dog sports, including agility, obedience, rally, scentwork, barn hunt, dock diving, conformation, and lure coursing. She lives in Acworth with her husband Carlos and son Alexander along with their pets: Darwin the Supermutt, Izyk the German Shorthair Pointer, Rogue the German Shepherd, Clove the Rhodesian Ridgeback and the boss himself, Vader, the cat. With their own zoo at home, she only hopes her baby boy Alex grows up to love animals as much as she does.

Natalie Williams
Veterinary Assistant
Natalie, one of our talented veterinary assistants, has been in the veterinary field for 3 years now. She started as a veterinary receptionist in her hometown in Indiana. She recently started training as a veterinary assistant and has shown great promise. She joined our team at the end of last year and has been a welcomed addition! Natalie moved to Georgia in the fall of 2021 and although it was a bit of an adjustment, she is loving the Atlanta area! Natalie has a dog named Teddy, a 3-year-old Maltipoo, who is the love of her life! When she’s not busy taking care of patients, she loves to spend time with her family living an active lifestyle.
Dr. Catherine Bryant
Veterinarian
Dr. Bryant earned her veterinary degree from Tuskegee University in 2016. Since then, she has enjoyed practicing medicine in a clinical setting and caring for companion animals. Her main interests include internal medicine and soft tissue surgery. Developing and maintaining client relationships is something that she considers to be an honor. Outside of work, Dr. Bryant enjoys spending time with her own animals. She adopted Luna, a Chihuahua mix, in 2019 and Bailey, a Terrier mix, in 2015. She also enjoys walking along the many trails Georgia has to offer.
Alejandro
Veterinary Assistant
Alejandro joined the Windy Hill team in August and has fit in seamlessly. He always brings a smile to everyone’s face with his calm, funny demeanor. He has been in the field of veterinary medicine for 8 years. When he isn’t busy caring for your pets, he enjoys traveling and spending time with his family. He is also a very talented guitarist and plays in a variety of local venues.
Sam
Veterinary Assistant
Samantha, “Sam” as we lovingly call her, grew up loving animals. She was fortunate enough to own everything from horses to dogs and everything in between. Sam began working in the veterinary field in 2019, and it has quickly become her passion. When she isn’t working here, she spends her time with her fiancé Daniel and their son Wyatt. She also has 2 dogs, Luke and Leia, and 2 cats, Betty and Bella.
Ethan
Veterinary Assistant
Ethan has a BA in literature from the University of West Georgia and started as a kennel tech back in 2016. In 2017, he was promoted to a veterinary assistant and has been in the field for 7 years. He has a tabby cat named Lucy that he has raised from a kitten. In his free time, Ethan reads a lot (must be from having a literature degree), is an avid comic collector (try his comic book knowledge!), and is an active member of the LGBTQIA+ community. Ethan’s pronouns are he/him and they/them.
