What’s Included in a Pet Wellness Exam
Pet wellness exams are prevention-focused. We tailor the exam to your pet’s age, breed, species, and environmental factors. Our veterinarian will begin the wellness visit by discussing your pet’s medical history. We also take time to listen to any concerns you have about their current health. Following our discussion with you, we’ll perform a thorough, nose-to-tail physical exam, and check temperature, pulse, and respiratory rate (TPR).
Afterward, your veterinarian will explain their observations and move on to vaccinations. To prevent overvaccination, we create a customized vaccine protocol based on your pet’s individual needs. Additionally, we’ll discuss parasite prevention with you and address any behavior or nutrition-related concerns.
